When someone asks “So, what’s your project?”
Does your team have an elevator pitch for their project? An elevator pitch is a concise, well-practiced description about your idea that anyone can understand.
The name “elevator pitch” reflects the hollywood concept that it should be possible to deliver a pitch for a storyline in the time span of an elevator ride, (thirty seconds to two minutes).
If your team’s idea can’t be ‘pitched’ quickly, by each team member, in their own words – then it may mean that the concept is too complicated or perhaps it is not completely understood by the team member.
A good idea is to have your team come up with an elevator pitch they can all agree with – and one that they all feel comfortable using when asked about the project. Also, have them practice it with their parents and others.
Just another ‘hint’ for an elevated project !
