View from a Judge

Sometimes a tale from the field captures our attention and we really, really  want to share it. Such is the case with a Facebook post from the FIRST®LEGO® League program in Rochester, N.Y., USA, where a team made a particularly deep impression on longtime Project Judge Lee Drake.

Lee, who is been involved in FIRST®programming for 9 years, has served as a FIRST LEGO League judge for 6 years, a FIRST® Robotics Competition judge for six years and has been a parent for 4 years. He has also mentored the Marketing Subteam of FIRST Robotics Competition Team 1511 – Harris Penfield Rolling Thunder – for a number of years.

We think Lee’s experience sums up the teamwork and camaraderie of our teams in a really wonderful way, so we’ll let him tell you the story…
