The FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. CREATURE CRAZESM and FIRST® LEGO® League ANIMAL ALLIESSM seasons went out with a roar at our final (and largest) events of the season. For 10 straight days at the end of April, the FIRST® community celebrated the official culmination of the 2016-2017 season at the annual FIRST Championship. For the first time, we brought the party to two different cities – Houston, Texas, USA, and St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
Both FIRST LEGO League Jr. and FIRST LEGO League were well represented at the Championships – each event had roughly 60 FIRST LEGO League Jr. and 100 FIRST LEGO League teams. The events were global celebrations for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with teams from over 30 countries in attendance.
We were so inspired by all the teams we had the chance to meet at the events – here are just a few of our snapshots from the two events:

Event goers had fun playing with LEGO® bricks at the Innovation Faire, which was part of each FIRST Championship.
We had the chance to meet some future astronauts in Houston!
